6:01 |
After these things, Jesus departed beyond the Sea of Galilee of Tiberias. |
6:02 |
Yet a large crowd followed him, because they saw the signs which he did on ones not healthy. |
6:03 |
And Jesus went up into the mountain, and he was sitting there with his disciples. |
6:04 |
And the Passover was near, the feast of the Jews. |
6:05 |
Therefore Jesus lifted up the eyes and saw that a great crowd is coming before him. |
|
He says to Philip, ... "From where may we buy bread so that these ones may eat"? |
6:06 |
But he was saying this, testing him. |
|
For he himself knew what he was about to do. |
6:07 |
Philip answered him, ... "Loaves of two hundred denarii are not enough for them ..." |
|
so that each one may take a little [something]. |
6:08 |
One of his disciples, Andrew the brother of Simon Stone says to him, ... |
6:09 |
There is a young boy here, ... |
|
who has five barley breads, ... |
|
and two fish. |
|
But what are these into so many? |
6:10 |
The Jesus said, ... "Make the men recline." |
|
Now there was much grass in the place, ... |
|
therefore the men reclined, the number, about 5000. |
6:11 |
Therefore Jesus took the loaves, ... |
|
and having given thanks, ... |
|
he distributed to the ones reclining, ... |
|
likewise, and out of the fish, as much as they wanted. |
6:12 |
Now when they were filled, he told his disciples, ... "Gather the leftover fragments so that nothing may be lost." |
6:13 |
Therefore they gathered and they filled twelve baskets of fragments from the five loaves of barley which were leftover by the ones having eaten. |
6:14 |
Therefore the men having seen what sign he did, ... |
|
they were saying, ... "This one is truly the prophet, ... |
|
the one coming into the world." |
6:15 |
Jesus therefore knew that they are about to come and to seize him, ... |
|
so that they might make him a king, ... |
|
he departed again into the mountain, himself alone. |
