Story
The Sixth Sign Miracle happened in Jerusalem on a Sabbath day. Passing along, Jesus saw a man blind from birth. His disciples said, "Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents that he was born blind?" Jesus said, "Neither, we must work the works of the one who sent me while it is day, when comes the night no one is able to work. When in the kosmos, I am a light of the kosmos." Having said these things, Jesus spat on the ground, made clay of the spit, and put the clay on his eyes. He said, "wash in the Pool of Siloam." The man washed and came out seeing.
This miracle is set up by what Jesus said to his disciples. The 3rd sign miracle and now the sixth miracle both happened in pools on the Sabbath! The words, eyes, spit, clay, and pools all figure in how the miracle was performed.
